Starting today everyone in the U.S can have their Revolut account opened just in minutes. You just need to download their app and send a few official documents to comply with KYC regulation. Revolut has been in beta in the United States since June 2019.
FDIC Insured Advance Direct Debits?
Yes. All deposits for U.S. customers are FDIC insured up to a value of US$250,000. This makes your money safe! Also, all account owners are able to get their salary up to two days in advance via direct deposit. It won’t cost you a dime.
Worldwide ATM Network
To withdraw money, you can use more than 55,000 ATMs in the Allpoint ATM network. You can use their ATM Locator to find the closest one. Standard users can withdraw up to US$300 with no additional fees. Premium users – up to US$600.
Easy transactions
Most banks charge a fee when you send money to anyone. But not Revolut! Even if you need to do cross-exchange transfers, you can do it free for up to US$6,500. So basically, if you do mostly your local currency transfers – you’re good to go for free. The transfers are quite fast also! If you and your friend are Revolut users – you can instantly transfer money to each other. No fees of course. No matter if you live 10, 1000 or 10000 miles away. Did I mention that Revolut doesn’t add extra on exchange rates?
More to Come
For the moment, Revolut offers a basic feature set in the United States, which is more than enough for everyday banking. In Europe, the company also offers credit, insurance products, rewards, the ability to purchase cryptocurrencies or invest in the stock market. And these features are to come to the U.S.
